Suede: Word of the Day

Suede, n.

Kid or other leather finished with a soft, napped surface, on the flesh side or on the outer side after removal of a thin outer layer.

Years ago Carl Perkins had a hit with his song, “Blue Suede Shoes”.

Alternate usage:

I didn’t want to buy leather shoes but eventually I was suede.

How will you use suede in a sentence today?
